It has been proven that myths can create uncertainty, and uncertainty creates suspicion. Suspicion, in turn, creates fear.  When you think of myths, you might think of the Loch Ness Monster, or Bigfoot.  But, are there any myths that may affect your view of Romantic Furniture?  You may not fear Romantic furniture, but you may be afraid that It’s not a good choice.  But first, what do we mean by “Romantic furniture”?

Three myths about Romantic Furniture

Victorian, French, and other furniture designs blend and influence the furniture that we callTraditional.  And, the more “generously” designed Traditional furniture is what we at Magnolia Hall like to call, Romantic.  A good example is our Caravelle Bedroom.

and Isabella Living Room

So, let’s Consider three myths about Romantic furniture.

Three myths about Romantic Furniture

Myth #1 -ROMANTIC FURNITURE IS NOT FOR MEN

Actually, the designers and manufacturers of the styles of furniture that influenced the Romantic furniture of Magnolia Hall were all men.  Men labored in these early shops to bring these designs to life.  You will find great variety to suit a masculine taste.  Take for example, the Cornwall Manor Chair.

Myth #2 -ROMANTIC FURNITURE IS NOT COMFORTABLE

There was a collection we sold years ago, which was imported from Italy.  I was shocked when I sat on the chair; it was like a board!  Needless to say, we do not carry that group today.  Great care goes into the construction and materials that make each chair, sofa, and loveseat a pleasure to sit on.  All of the pieces you will see in our line are comfortable, and intended for daily use.  Not too hard, and not too soft!  A great example is our Royal Crest Settee.Three myths about Romantic Furniture

Myth #3- ROMANTIC FURNITURE IS NOT STURDY. II WON’T LAST

This is definitely not the case in OUR Romantic collection!  We feel it is important get it right, and to provide furniture that will be something you can enjoy for years to come.  Quality construction is a primary concern.  And, that is another benefit of Romantic design; it has been around for centuries!  Some styles come and go, but Romantic furniture design is a classic part of life today, tomorrow, and always.

Romantic furniture design can be for everyone.  If not for an entire room, it can certainly add elegance and class as an accent to any room design.  There’s no need to fear!
