Our Scarlatti suite offers a variety of ways to furnish a large bedroom in grand Victorian style. Every effort has been made to reproduce the design and quality of luxurious 19th century furniture. Note the elaborate shell and leaf carving on the headboard and the fluted bedposts with ornate finials. Also note the large pilasters on the cabinets, with their criss-crossing gilded vines, and heavily carved capitals and bases. The entire group is finished in a rich cherry stain, with the design details highlighted with bright gold and silver before the final lacquering is applied. The antique brass hardware of the drawer pulls and door handles is heavy and intricate in detail. All pieces are constructed with birch solids and select cherry veneers. All drawers are dovetailed and dust-proofed. The mirror features beveled glass.
