The Magnolia Hall Story
Many of you have heard of Magnolia Hall or have enjoyed our catalogs for many years. In 1962 an executive in furniture sales, began a home business, selling Victorian and French reproductions by publishing a catalog. This required that their sun-room be turned into an office. For many years the Magnolia Hall catalog was printed in black and white using a “cut and paste” method (Yes, with scissors and glue). Who said you don’t learn valuable skills in Kindergarten? Maybe you remember those early catalogs!
As technology progressed we graduated to a full-color catalog and the website that you are seeing today, both of which allow you to enjoy the richness of wood-grains and the vibrant colors in the vintage fabrics. Catalog production, and later the website, has always been a very hands-on endeavor for the owner of Magnolia Hall; Finding designs, selecting pictures, and presenting an interesting variety.
The current owners of “The Hall”, Barry and Becky Nerli, had been with the company for a combined 55 years before assuming ownership. In a sense you can say that Magnolia Hall really still is a family-owned business. Many of you have spoken to us, and will speak to us, when calling our office. We are proud to have been trained by a highly skilled furniture family.
With so many options for your furniture and decorating needs, we can’t help but ask; Why buy furniture from Magnolia Hall? We feel that the “romance” or character has somehow been lost in decorating a home. If you are a romantic furniture lover, consider allowing us to assist you to recapture the romance of Victorian.

Our furniture is made for us under contract, and we sell to you, not to stores. We do not have a showroom. Because we are strictly a mail order business and control our overhead, we are able to sell furniture of the highest quality at reasonable prices. Furniture is shipped (in most cases directly from the manufacturer) as soon as it is ready. Custom-ordered pieces take approximately six to ten weeks. We acknowledge your order as soon as it is received and indicate the length of time you may expect shipment.
Materials
Furniture
We diligently search for traditionally crafted wood furniture. Most pieces are made of solid wood or wood veneers (note specifications in individual product descriptions). Some ornamental features are made of cast resin products. Please request specifics for any item in our collection. Some tables, chairs, and sofas are offered with a choice of wood finishes. This is indicated in the details of each piece.
Accessories
Each item will offer a description of materials that are used.
Fabrics
Many upholstered items offer over 20 fabric options for you to choose from. Swatches are mailed free of charge. We always prefer that you have an actual sample of the leather or fabric that you are ordering to insure color accuracy. Some furniture offers deluxe fabrics which adds an additional charge.
Shipping
Within the Contiguous United States
Smaller items in the catalog will be shipped by UPS or FedEx Ground. Larger and heavier items will be shipped by motor freight lines or furniture carriers to your home, your office, or, if you prefer, to a local freight terminal for customer pick-up. Freight costs are based on your order total. Inside delivery is available at $175 additional charge per shipment (truck line only). This service is guaranteed only when specified by the customer. Magnolia Hall cannot be held responsible for any local restrictions or limitations beyond our control.
Outside the Contiguous United States
Normal shipping charges would not apply. We would provide a shipping quote for each shipment. Each customer would be responsible for the freight charges and any other charges, such as duties and taxes.
International
Magnolia Hall can ship to a U.S. agent who would be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and signing for the product in our customers behalf. This would conclude the purchase and Magnolia Hall’s liability for any damage that may occur afterward. Each international customer would then be responsible for making their own shipping arrangements from the U.S. to their location.
Damage
All shipments are fully insured against damage. It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect all cartons before signing a freight bill. Failure to do so will cancel the insurance. Any damage that is discovered after delivery should be promptly reported to the freight company and Magnolia Hall. Save all cartons and packing materials until the resolution of the claim. Notify Magnolia Hall in all cases of damage.
Returns
Items that have a fabric and/or finish choice are considered custom-ordered and are not returnable unless there is damage or defect. Other items are returnable within 30 days. There is a 15% restocking charge. Just call or write for return authorization. Return shipping costs will be the customer's responsibility.
Payment
Personal check (allow three weeks to clear), money order, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover cards are accepted and should be included with your order. Charges are made at the time your order is placed.
Lay-Away
For your convenience you may select your furniture and take as long as 12 months to pay if your order is $500 or more. Take the total amount of purchase and divide by 12. This gives you the monthly amount to pay for a year. (If you wish a shorter time, divide by 6 and pay this amount for 6 months.) When the total is paid, furniture will be made up and shipped to you. You are guaranteed current pricing and protected against rising costs! (Shipping charges are subject to increase) . To use this method of payment, just fill out the order blank, calculate your monthly payment as described above, and include your first month's payment with your order. You will receive a lay-away agreement and confirmation of your order. We cannot guarantee a fabric choice or item will remain available during the lay-away period.

We use the information you provide about someone else when placing an order only to ship the product and to confirm delivery. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.
We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
When you order our catalog from our website, you have the option of not having your information shared with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete the mailing of the catalog.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
