St. James Home Office
The home library or study has long been a part of the traditional home, a sanctuary where serious reading or paperwork could be done away from other household distractions. However, traditional desks and cabinets were not made to accommodate today's computers and home entertainment systems.
Until now, that is. Magnolia Hall proudly introduces a collection designed to look great in a setting of Victorian furniture, but featuring a roomy credenza with built in outlets to house virtually any electronic component available today. Most importantly, all pieces are expertly crafted in solid mahogany with heavy posts, rails and panels, and dove-tailed corners on all drawers.
Our St. James Bookcases (upper left) are a magnificent recreation of classic Victorian furniture design, with carved pediments, pilasters, and adjustable shelves. Bottom door on cases opens to roomy storage area with one adjustable shelf. Built-in lighting is concealed behind arches. We show the single case (left) and the double case (right). (Cases are designed to stand separately.)
The St. James Executive Desk (center), a masterful reproduction of a Victorian antique, features shaped top, carved corner posts and deep-cut panels. Includes pencil drawer, and six large utility drawers.
The matching St. James File Cabinet (opposite left) is available in two-drawer (shown), three-drawer, and four-drawer models . The St. James Credenza (opposite right) affords the home-office computer a setting that is elegant, traditionally Victorian and highly practical. In addition to two utility drawers and a file drawer, the base has a capacious, concealed storage cabinet for the tower with cubby holes for CDs and other media. Cables feed easily to the desktop through a rear vent. Keyboard is stored in a dust-proof drawer. The top has adjustable shelves and built-in lighting behind the elegant Victorian arches.
