Castellana Bedroom - Dark Fruitwood

This luxurious bedroom collection draws on the strong Italianate influence on Victorian furniture. The inspiration derives from the elaborate palace designs of 15th and 16th century Italy. Important elements include powerful moldings, serpentine arched panels, high headboards, floral motifs, and block feet. The low poster bed in this ensemble features a double framed headboard and footboard with burl wood insets on the headboard. The finials are vertically ribbed and the posts are adorned with overlay carvings. A patented bed locking system provides optimal stability. The Armoire and Dresser are constructed with solid wood stiles and posts, antique brass finish hardware, dovetailed and dust-proofed drawers, with a drop-in felt panel for the top drawer. The Armoire may be used for clothes or as a TV/entertainment center. Behind the lower double doors is an adjustable wood shelf. The upper section has a removable clothes rod, an adjustable w ooden shelf, a tray drawer with drop-in felt panel, and a slide-out back panel for the TV. Upper doors a double hinged to fold completely back. Beveled glass is used in the Dresser's Tri-Fold Mirror. Crafted in select oak and white ash veneers on birch solids, the group is finished in dark fruitwood.
